SharePoint Governance Webinar – What, why and how?
Many of today’s Sharepoint installations within organizations have evolved through a very short period of trials and errors, with little or no thoughts given to effective information, development and deployment management processes. It has grown organically to the point where “business users” are struggling to effectively find information as and when needed, “IT leaders” are struggling to create a corporate culture where SharePoint is used to it’s fullest potential and “upper management” is not able to collect KPIs to justify the investment into SharePoint. In other words, the SharePoint installations have become unmanageable, cluttered, uncontrollable, non-scalable and insecure.
This session will provide practical guidance for business and technical leadership in an organization on how to tame SharePoint based information explosion. It will walk you through real life scenarios and challenges faced by organizations in managing myriad of SharePoint usage, and prescribes best practices to streamline them through an effective set of corporate policies. It dives into various models of SharePoint Governance through the three dimensions of people, process and technology.
Essentially, it will explain what steps can an organization take today to maximize the long term returns of this wonderful software called as “SharePoint”.
